Wetaskiwin sits south of Edmonton and takes its name from a Cree phrase meaning “hills where peace was made,” home today to the Reynolds-Alberta Museum’s aviation and automotive collections. Its historic downtown has kept more of its original character than many towns its size.
Housing stock is a mix of older homes near the core and newer builds on the city’s edges, at prices that stay noticeably below comparable homes inside Edmonton.
