Stony Plain sits just west of Spruce Grove and has kept more of its small-town identity, anchored by a historic downtown known for its outdoor murals and the Multicultural Heritage Centre. It shares the same commuter access into Edmonton as Spruce Grove without quite the same scale of new development.
